...And Here are Some of the Mugs!

I sent off the proposal for "100 Mugs in 100 days" to three galleries via email this morning, fully expecting to recieve no response at all...and by noon I had two yesses! Which of course inspired me to get cracking.

Wow, congratulations - such a great idea - you inspire me to follow through with some of my own ideas. Now you've go to turn up the heat on all those cups.

Thanks Linda. It was an important lesson that I hope I can hold onto. How many ideas have I let drop, just because I assumed no one would be interested? A lot.
I have a sister-in-law who is in sales, and has the most optimistic personality. I was just about to give up the idea of doing th eshow (but still make the mugs) when I had a WWAD moment -- "What Would Alexa Do?" It's a guarantee that she would not walk away assuming the better galleries wouldn't be interested. She'd ask. So I did! The other thing I need to learn is, I won't die of being told "no." I need to take the chance more often.

Overcoming fear is such an empowering thing. Good for you! Best of luck with the gallery pursuits. And the center & right hand mugs on the bottom....love 'em!!!

Wow! Good for you! I have been doing a 100 mugs challenge this month myself, but never even thought to take the next step into how to sell them (doh!) Great idea for an event. How exciting to get such a positive response so quickly!
